A concept close to Elon Musk’s heart, the Hyperloop envisions a train-like vehicle that zooms through tubes with minimal friction at speeds of up to 965 km/h, capable of covering the distance from San Francisco to LA in 35 minutes!
Hyperloop is a project that is so ambitious, it could redefine the speed of travel. A design document released by Musk last year put the cost of Hyperloop at $6 billion! While it is debated by engineers and the like, we can only hope that it becomes a reality sooner rather than later.
